Information on Annual Paid Leave in Cyprus

Annual paid leave is a right for all employees in Cyprus, including apprentices. Employees who have worked for 48 weeks are entitled to 4 weeks of paid leave, corresponding to 20 or 24 days depending on their workweek. Certain days, such as public holidays and maternity leave, do not count against annual leave. Employers pay employees during the leave either directly or through the Central Leave Fund. The employer's contribution for the leave amounts to 8% of the employee's wages.
