Kolthoum Akbari is a 56-year-old Iranian woman accused of murdering at least 11 men with whom she entered into temporary marriages. These men were often looking for companionship and had some wealth. Akbari was arrested in 2023 after the death of her husband raised suspicions. She reportedly used medications and other methods to kill her victims. Her case is considered one of the most shocking serial murder cases revealed in Iran.
