The delay became apparent following a serious maritime accident in Pernera. The deputy director of the maritime ministry stated that the new law will introduce new requirements and be applied gradually. Additionally, it will include training programs for obtaining operator licenses. The new law covers all motorized leisure boats, not just speedboats.
