Successes of Cypriot Diplomacy in Preventing International Event in the Occupied Territories

Cypriot diplomacy successfully convinced the Serbian company EXIT to withdraw from a festival in the occupied territories. Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos contacted his Serbian counterpart Marko Djuric to strengthen Cypriot-Serbian cooperation. Discreet diplomatic actions prevented the potential exploitation of an international event in occupied Kyrenia. There is now a possibility for the event to be moved to the free areas of the Republic of Cyprus. This case illustrates the importance of targeted and focused diplomacy.
