Erdogan and Putin reached an agreement in Kyrgyzstan regarding the sale of Turkey's S-400 systems to a third country. The United Arab Emirates appears to be the likely buyer. This development raises questions about the potential lifting of American sanctions that prevent the sale of F-35s to Turkey. Turkey was removed from the F-35 program in 2019 due to its purchase of the S-400s. The sanctions stem from the CAATSA law and remain in effect to this day.
