The history of presidential limousines in the Republic of Cyprus

Since the establishment of the Republic of Cyprus, ten limousines have been used by seven Presidents. Some of these were donations, such as a bulletproof Cadillac ordered by the American government. George Vasiliou was the only President who did not use a new limousine. Most limousines were armored, with some having been used by Presidents prior to the establishment of the Republic. The intention to purchase a new limousine for Nikos Christodoulides has sparked reactions due to the cost.
