CEA Inspections on Photovoltaic Systems: Violations and Effects

The Cyprus Electricity Authority has detected initial violations related to photovoltaic systems during inspections at various sites. Owners were warned in advance about the checks, leading many to dismantle unauthorized installations. A total of 110 suspicious cases have been identified, with 22 confirmed violations. Inspections are ongoing, primarily targeting commercial establishments, while residential checks are expected to follow. The CEA employs its technology to identify suspicious electricity consumption patterns.
