September 13, 2026

Hyundai's factory in Ulsan is one of the largest automotive production facilities in the world, producing one car every 10 seconds. With five factories and its own port, it manufactures 1.5 million vehicles annually, exported to over 200 countries. The facility covers nearly 4.86 million square meters and operates for about 18 hours a day. A sixth factory is planned to focus on electric vehicles, set to begin production in 2026. The factory has an interesting history, starting in 1968 as a small assembly plant for Ford.
