Arrest of an Antique Smuggler at Kouklias Archaeological Site

A 41-year-old Greek Cypriot was arrested at the archaeological site of Kouklias while digging illegally. He was found with a pickaxe and a metal detector in his possession. The police located him following a tip-off about suspicious activity in the area. The man was charged with illegal excavation and possession of a metal detector without a permit. His case will be heard in a future trial.
