Appointment of Nikos Tornaritis as Special Political Envoy for the Cyprus Issue

The Cabinet has appointed Nikos Tornaritis as the Special Political Envoy of President Christodoulides for the Cyprus issue in Asia and Africa. Tornaritis will conduct targeted political contacts to address Cyprus-related matters, following the President's directives and in coordination with the Foreign Minister. His appointment is unpaid and is based on his extensive political experience. He has served for 13 years as the head of the Cypriot delegation in international assemblies. Tornaritis has a strong network of contacts and experience in matters concerning Cyprus.
