Investigation of €15.7 Million VAT Fraud Across Multiple Countries

An investigation into a VAT fraud case amounting to €15.7 million is taking place in Cyprus, Austria, Bulgaria, and Germany. Four individuals have been arrested and several assets have been frozen. The investigations relate to cross-border fraud involving mobile phone sales. So far, €3.3 million has been recovered from one of the involved companies. The Cyprus police are cooperating with authorities from other countries in this case.
