Legal Proceedings Following Soldier's Injuries from Grenade

A 25-year-old soldier was seriously injured during a military exercise in the Staurovoini area when a grenade exploded. Initially, he suffered the amputation of his right hand, and after about 20 months, he lost his eye due to a severe infection. The soldier is seeking compensation from the Greek government as his injuries have also affected his mental health. The case has come to the forefront due to legal developments concerning the use of the specific grenade, which should have been retired. The proceedings are taking place at the Administrative Court of Athens.
