Joint Ownership Buildings Management: Issues and Reform Proposals

Almost 33% of joint ownership buildings in Cyprus lack a final approval certificate, with pending applications at the Land Registry. The Local Government Organizations are taking over the management of these buildings, proposing an annual fee for owners. Out of the 14,208 registered buildings, 6,711 remain unregistered. 40% of the unregistered buildings appear to meet the registration criteria. The issue requires immediate attention and reforms.
