New Investments and Possible Developments in the Cyprus Issue

President Nicos Christodoulides announced that there will be new investments from American companies in Cyprus. He noted that, despite the belief that there will be no developments on the Cyprus issue, he does not rule out significant developments for the resumption of talks. The Cypriot economy is showing growth and has been upgraded by rating agencies. The President referred to the reduction of public debt and unemployment. He also plans to return to the U.S. to promote the attraction of Cypriot talent.
