Proposals for Modifying Information on ID Cards

Three law proposals have been submitted to the Parliament regarding the information included on the identification cards of Cypriot citizens by MPs from DISY, ELAM, and Direct Democracy. The proposals allow for citizens to choose certain details to be listed and require the inclusion of parental information. The DISY MP's proposal aims to ensure the protection of personal data. These proposals seek to recognize citizens' rights in selecting which details appear on their ID cards. Mandatory details include the person's name, date of birth, and other security information.
