New Support Measures Due to Rising Energy Prices

The government is planning new support measures due to rising energy prices. The Finance Minister indicated that decisions will be made in the Cabinet meeting on September 30th. He pointed out that Cyprus remains the 5th cheapest country in the EU regarding gasoline prices, despite the increases. Regarding heating oil, he noted prices have reached €1.60, but intervention is not yet necessary. He emphasized that the policies aimed at addressing rising costs will focus on benefiting citizens.
