Court Decision on Passenger's Fall from Airplane Stairs

A passenger fell from the disembarkation stairs at Larnaca airport and filed a lawsuit against Swissport Cyprus Ltd seeking compensation. However, the Court of Appeals dismissed his appeal, confirming the initial ruling which stated that there was no negligence on the part of the company. The judges concluded that there was insufficient evidence linking the fall to Swissport's actions. According to the testimonies, the stairs were considered safe and all necessary safety measures were in place. Thus, while compensation was agreed upon, the company's liability for the fall was not established.
