Investigation uncovers possible issues in Cyprus boxing

An investigation by the Ethics and Sports Protection Committee revealed possible criminal liabilities within the Cyprus Amateur Boxing Federation. The allegations include suspicions of forgery and fictitious clubs controlled by relatives of a specific sports figure. The investigation originated from an anonymous complaint forwarded to the Ministry of the Interior and subsequently to the Committee. The preliminary investigation confirmed that three out of four clubs declared the same address. Further investigation by the police is anticipated regarding the potential criminal offenses.
