Exploration of Tram Service in Nicosia and Limassol

The mayors of Nicosia and Limassol are exploring the possibility of introducing trams in their cities. They have sought the assistance of the Ministry of Transport, which appears hesitant. Mayor Charalambos Pruntzos stated that the revision of an old study will be considered. He believes it's time to discuss a fixed transport system, especially as the bus contract expires in 2030. The tram could operate alongside buses to improve public service.
