Investment Scam: Public Warning

A 60-year-old man in Paphos was deceived by a Russian-speaking woman who convinced him to invest in oil and other stock shares. After receiving a phone call, he made bank transfers totaling €51,326. When he tried to contact her to receive his profits, he realized it was a scam. Later, another man claimed he could recover the lost money and convinced him to give an additional €14,000. The police warn the public to be cautious and avoid online scams.
