AKEL Rejects Support for Averof Neofytou

George Loukaidis, the parliamentary representative of AKEL, dismissed the idea of supporting Averof Neofytou in the 2028 presidential elections. He described Neofytou as a key pillar of Anastasiades' governance. He noted the existence of a political alliance comprising DISY, DIKO, and ELAM that backs the current power system.
