Accessibility Issues for Patients with Mobility Impairments

A patient faced serious difficulties during a visit to a doctor's office and a radiology center due to inaccessible elevators. Despite being able to stand with assistance, the barriers made access challenging. Dimitris Lamprianidis, president of the Organization of Paraplegics of Cyprus, pointed out that often patients are not informed about the accessibility of facilities. He noted that accessibility issues concern not only people with disabilities but everyone. It is essential to make health service structures more accessible for all patients.
