Mounjaro Drug Available through National Health System with Simplified Procedures

Starting from October 15, the drug Mounjaro will be available through the national health system with simplified procedures for patients suffering from obesity or type 2 diabetes. Patients who meet specific criteria can obtain it without the need for new requests. Weight loss evaluations will be required for the continuation of the treatment, and reimbursement will be limited to two years. Patients with already approved requests do not need to make any changes. This new process aims to facilitate access to essential medications for managing obesity.
