Concerns Regarding Student Performance in PISA

The PISA results indicate that Cypriot students are performing at low levels of comprehension. During a meeting of the Education Committee, representatives from educational organizations expressed concerns about the lack of preparation for students and the absence of strategy from the Ministry of Education. The vice president of the teachers' union mentioned that students do not take the examination seriously. There is a strong call for a comprehensive educational policy to improve outcomes. The Ministry has prepared a three-year action plan to address the situation.
