Important Step Towards Acceptance and Cooperation for the Reunification of Cyprus

President Nikos Christodoulides stated that if Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots had the chance, Cyprus would already be reunited. During his presence with the Turkish Cypriot leader at the Peace Festival in Pyla, he reiterated the need for cooperation and peaceful coexistence. While such meetings are significant, he emphasized that political will is required for progress. He also suggested formalizing similar events in the future. He has sent written proposals to the UN Secretary-General to strengthen trust between the two communities.
