Increase in Construction Permits and Housing in Limassol in 2026

Construction activity in the Limassol district is experiencing significant growth in the first half of 2026, ranking first in three key indicators. The total value of building permits reached €2.57 billion, showing an increase of 48.15% compared to 2025. Additionally, 3,527 new housing units were approved, marking a 61.94% increase. This progress is linked to the efforts of the Limassol District Authority to address the housing issue in the area. Limassol accounts for 31.8% of the total housing supply in Cyprus.
