Reduction of Excise Tax on Heating Oil

On Friday, a reduction in the excise tax on heating oil will take effect, with the price dropping from 7.5 cents to 2.1 cents per liter. The government proposal is set to be approved by the Plenary on Thursday. The new prices will come into force early Friday morning. Additionally, the Ministry of Finance mentioned that a response regarding the request for a zero tax rate from the Commission is expected. This reduction aims to ease the burden of heating costs for citizens.
