Internal Developments in DISY and Candidates' Commitments
October 23, 2026
Averof Neofytou visited the offices of DISY with lists of signatures, emphasizing the party's unity for the next day. He stated his willingness to respect the outcome of the internal elections. His opponent, Giorgos Pamborides, is asking for a public commitment from Neofytou that he will not run as an independent if he loses. Reports suggest that both politicians have agreed to respect the election results. Neofytou's moves appear to be strategic and unpredictable.
