Differing Views on Averof Neofytou's Candidacy

Charis Georgiadis announced that he will not support Averof Neofytou's candidacy for the presidency if he secures the party's nomination. He is also resigning from his position as president of the Glafkos Clerides Institute. Georgiadis indicates that the pressures and political coercion around the decision motivated his choice. He pointed out that Neofytou's positions diverge from the traditional values of the Democratic Party. He believes it is his political duty to differentiate himself from Neofytou's candidacy.
