Risk of License Loss for 26 EMEL Drivers Due to Violations

There is unrest among drivers at EMEL as 26 of them risk losing their professional licenses due to 560 complaints recorded by cameras in Limassol. Most of these complaints involve red light violations, with 293 recorded at two specific intersections. EMEL estimates that these 26 drivers may exceed the penalty point limit of 16. It is argued that drivers often face a dilemma between sudden braking and violating traffic signals. The company has proposed measures to improve the situation.
