Changes to the Asset Declaration System for Increased Transparency

The Ministry of Justice is introducing changes to the asset declaration system for officials in Cyprus. Officials will now have to submit declarations every 30 months instead of once, and interim declarations will be made public. Administrative fines will also be imposed for late or incomplete submissions. These changes aim to increase transparency and compliance with European anti-corruption recommendations. However, they will not affect current officials.
