Efforts to Source Workers from Egypt through Intergovernmental Agreement

So far, no employees have been recorded to arrive from Egypt through the intergovernmental agreement signed by Cyprus. The Minister of Labor, Marinos Mousiouttas, emphasized the need to implement the agreement after its extension to more sectors. Despite the Ministry's outreach, there has been no expected response. Requests from large companies for workers are prioritized for review. There is concern over the labor shortages in Cyprus, particularly in the construction industry.
