Increase in Tax Revenues with New Computerized System

The implementation of a new computerized system at the Tax Department is expected to increase state tax revenues by 2027. The Ministry of Finance estimates that the additional tax will reach at least 5%. By 2026, tax revenues have already exceeded €4.47 billion. The largest increases are observed in income tax, VAT, and capital gains tax. The Tax Department is working on ensuring tax compliance through targeted audits.
