Support Measures to Address Rising Costs
November 2, 2026
Finance Minister Makis Keravnos announced that approximately €1 billion has been allocated to support citizens in 2023 to address rising costs. Tax reform has already benefited around 200,000 citizens, with over 50,000 no longer paying income tax. Relief measures include deductions for rent and loans, as well as allowances for families with children. The minister attributed inflation primarily to imported factors from the energy crisis. They aim to support the most vulnerable citizens and small businesses through economic resilience.
