The Greek-American community will have seven representatives in the new US Congress. Chris Pappas secured a Senate seat, while six members of the House are either elected or renewing their terms. Notably, Maggie Houlihan is a 40-year-old lawyer from Avdella Grevena who promotes Greek values. Houlihan has previously been elected to the House and is gaining important distinctions in her political career. Overall, the presence of Greek-Americans in Congress is significant.
