New Law to Expedite Expropriation and Payment Processes

The state has outstanding debts of about €70 million for expropriations that have been pending for decades. These debts also include significant interest, causing the total amount owed to exceed the original value of the properties. To remedy the situation, a law is being prepared to expedite expropriation and payment processes. This law will ensure that owners are compensated more quickly and transparently. The aim is to avoid prolonged disputes and delays in payments.
