Cryptocurrency Fraud Investigation in Limassol: 41-Year-Old Reports Loss of Funds

A new case of online cryptocurrency fraud is being investigated by the Police in Limassol, where a 41-year-old man reported losing $280,000. He contacted an unknown person through an advertisement and was convinced to initially invest $100,000. The perpetrators involved him with fake profits, continuously demanding more money for supposed withdrawal processes. When he requested to withdraw funds, the scammers dismissed him and asked for more money. The Police warns the public to always check the legitimacy of investment opportunities.
