President Herzog Tasks Gandi Eisenkot with Forming a New Government

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has tasked opposition leader Gandi Eisenkot with forming a government. Eisenkot stated he would do everything to create a national emergency government. He has invited members of Likud to join under the condition that they distance themselves from their far-right allies. However, support from Arab parties alone is insufficient to secure a majority.
